Tooth Sensitivity | What is Tooth Sensitivity?
Mar 20 2017
Did you know that almost half of the adults in the US experience tooth sensitivity? We are sure it is not different for all of our friends in Dayton! Tooth sensitivity often occurs when you bite into, or drink, something that is extremely hot or cold. Many times, people will experience tooth sensitivity when eating ice cream! Foods that contain a lot of sugar can also trigger some tooth sensitivity.
Tooth sensitivity is not cookie cutter. There are cases where tooth sensitivity is extremely painful, and other cases where it is just annoying. Additionally, tooth sensitivity can be temporary, can last for hours, or can come and go. While tooth sensitivity can be triggered by foods that you eat, it can also be a symptom of something more serious. Both dental trauma injuries and certain dental health problems can cause sensitivity. For example, if you have a cavity that needs a filling, you may experience some sensitivity.
