Lumineers Dental Veneers
Dayton Dentist for Lumineers
You want a beautiful smile – and that’s exactly what Lumineers dental veneers create for people with worn tooth enamel, chipped, stained or cracked teeth, and/or mildly uneven tooth alignment.
Lumineers are custom design veneers that can last for many years--they have been proven in some cases to last for more than 20 years. For some patients, unlike traditional veneers, there are no shots or drilling of tooth structure, and therefore, no pain! This also means that if you ever change your mind, because they have not altered the underlying tooth, they are fully reversible. When choosing Lumineers, you have nothing to lose--and the smile of your dreams to gain!

Traditional dental veneers can conceal tooth imperfections and ideally don’t need significant tooth preparation that damages the natural structure of the tooth. But, they often do.
Lumineers veneers, on the other hand, are ultra-thin, created of Cerinate® ceramic, and typically require NO tooth preparation. This means no injections, no anesthetic, and no drilling, the last of which preserves your tooth’s entire natural structure. This also means that this is often the ideal solution for people with sensitive teeth.
As a point of comparison, traditional veneers are usually at least .5mm in thickness, whereas Lumineers veneers are .2mm - comparable to the thickness of a contact lens. Any time that added bulk can be eliminated, that’s a real plus. And, because Lumineers typically don’t require any alteration of the natural tooth, your teeth remain strong.
Lumineers Before and After
Seeing is believing – and, as these Lumineers before and after pictures show, this cosmetic dentistry procedure can create a stunning smile!
The translucent quality of Lumineers creates a more natural look than what’s been available in the past, a bright and white smile.
Here’s another benefit to this type of dental veneers: the Lumineers dental process typically only requires two visits to the dentist.
On visit one, a mold is made, and you and your dentist will decide what shade of white is ideal for your unique smile. Once the mold is made, you can go to your second appointment, where the Lumineers veneers will be painlessly applied. Best of all, in between the two appointments, there are no temporaries needed, because your natural teeth have not been altered!
