2017 is a little more than a month in, are you still trying to improve your health this new year? If so, there are many changes in your lifestyle that you should consider. Below, Dr. Sato outlines a few tips for you to be healthier this year.
1.) Improve Your Relationships
Studies prove that those who have better relationships are likelier to live longer. With this in mind, Dr. Sato urges you to catch up with old friends who you may have lost touch with. Maybe one person you need to catch up with is your dentist, you know, if it’s been longer than six months since you last saw him/her!
2.) If You are a Smoker, QUIT!
Losing weight and quitting smoking seem obvious. However, these are two of the things that can negatively effect your health the worst. Obesity and cigarette smoking are the root cause of many different diseases that lead to serious health problems and maybe even death. In addition to your overall health, if you quit smoking your wallet will be healthier also!
3.) If You Need, Lose Some Weight
America has one of the highest obesity rates worldwide. If you are one of the many adults who are obese, you should try to lose weight. As you may know, the best way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you eat every day. If you start dieting and exercising more, stick to it and on’t expect the weight to fall off over night.
