Will my insurance cover what I have done?
Your insurance aids you in covering your dental costs. We will give you an estimated copay at the time of service and before any work is done. We will collect that copay at the time of service. We file your insurance for you, but any portion not covered after your insurance pays will be balance billed to you.
How often should radiographs be taken?
New patients should have radiographs taken on their first visit to evaluate the present status of any hidden areas and to help with an accurate analysis of later changes, any small areas of decay, teeth below the gum line and existing fillings. We will also view the radiographs for any sign of infection in bone, gum disease, abscesses or cysts and developmental abnormalities.
Why should I pay when I have Dental Insurance?
While insurance is there to aid you in dental treatment needed, it will not fully cover your costs. Dental treatment can be costly and depending upon your type of insurance coverage it will assist in part of the payment. As our patient, you are responsible for any remaining balance.
Will I be informed of the amount owed before treatment?
We as an office try to give you the best estimate we can so you are fully aware of the patient costs. However, we are not affiliated with the insurance companies, so it is truly an estimate.
Do you offer both white and silver fillings?
We do restore teeth with both composite (white) material as well as amalgam (silver). While amalgam has been questioned by many due to mercury content, it has been studied for years and has not been linked to any medical problems. We do base your best options on each individual patient.
