Frequently Asked Questions
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. Please call our office at 937-226-1400 to schedule an appointment.
Do you accept my insurance?
We are in network with Delta Dental, Superior, Cigna, and the Dental Health Alliance (a selection of Assurant, Aetna, and United Concordia plans). We process claims with any other PPO, but you will receive an out-of-network benefit. We cannot process claims for HMOs and cannot see patients who have state-provided insurance (CareSource, Medicaid, Buckeye, or Molina).
What are your financing options?
We take all major credit cards. In addition, we utilize the services of Care Credit for third party financing. They can be accessed online at www.carecredit.com to see if you qualify or we can do that for you if you come here for treatment.
Where are you located?
Wright Health Building, Suite 140, 1222 S. Patterson Blvd., Dayton, OH 45402. For more information, click here or check out the map below.
Do you use general anesthesia?
We do not offer IV sedation. But, we do offer nitrous oxide. We also offer Anxiolysis which is a mild sedative.
Do you do cosmetic dentistry?
Yes we do - We offer laminates, veneers, and bleaching as well as other procedures.
Do you see children and if so what ages?
We love treating children's dental needs. The recommended age for a child to come in for his/her first exam and prophy is 3. Our hygienists and Dr. Sato love children and they make sure your child is off to a positive start with their oral hygiene.
What are your hours?
We are here from 7am-4pm on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday and 7am-3pm on Thursday. We do not take a lunch break all at one time so you can be seen during your lunch hour.

We also offer fillings, extractions, root canals, dental crowns, dental bridges, partial and full dentures, as well as scaling and root planing (dental deep cleaning). Bleaching, cosmetic services, and minor tooth movement procedures are also available. Teeth straightening services are available using clear teeth aligners from the Invisalign or ClearCorrect System.
Is Dr. Sato the only dentist there?
Yes. In addition we have two licensed hygienists, two EFDA dental assistants and one other dental assistant.
Is Dr. Sato one of the dentists that used to be on Valley Street?
Yes he is.
Will my insurance cover what I have done?
Your insurance aids you in covering your dental costs. We will give you an estimated copay at the time of service and before any work is done. We will collect that copay at the time of service. We file your insurance for you, but any portion not covered after your insurance pays will be balance billed to you.
How often should radiographs be taken?
New patients should have radiographs taken on their first visit to evaluate the present status of any hidden areas and to help with an accurate analysis of later changes, any small areas of decay, teeth below the gum line and existing fillings. We will also view the radiographs for any sign of infection in bone, gum disease, abscesses or cysts and developmental abnormalities.
Why should I pay when I have Dental Insurance?
While insurance is there to aid you in dental treatment needed, it will not fully cover your costs. Dental treatment can be costly and depending upon your type of insurance coverage it will assist in part of the payment. As our patient, you are responsible for any remaining balance.
Will I be informed of the amount owed before treatment?
We as an office try to give you the best estimate we can so you are fully aware of the patient costs. However, we are not affiliated with the insurance companies, so it is truly an estimate.
Do you offer both white and silver fillings?
It has become our practice to restore teeth exclusively with composite (white) material.
