Curodont™ Early Cavity Treatment
For Very Early (Beginning) Tooth Decay — Before It Enters the Enamel

At Dr. Steve Sato’s dental office, we proudly provide advanced preventive and non-invasive dentistry for patients in Oakwood, Kettering, and Centerville, Ohio. One of the most exciting services we offer is Curodont™ — a treatment designed specifically for very early, beginning decay, most often found between the teeth, before it has fully entered and broken through the enamel.
Curodont allows Dr. Sato to manage these earliest signs of decay comfortably and conservatively — helping protect natural tooth structure when treatment begins soon enough.
What Is Curodont™?
Curodont™ is a non-invasive treatment used only for incipient (early) decay — the stage where the tooth surface is still intact and the cavity has not yet penetrated the enamel.
Instead of removing tooth structure with drills, Curodont works with natural minerals in saliva to help strengthen and stabilize these early weakened areas.
If decay has progressed beyond the earliest stage, a filling or other restorative treatment may still be necessary.
How Curodont Works
- A gentle liquid is applied to areas of beginning, interproximal (between-teeth) decay
- The solution seeps into the weakened outer layer at the earliest stage of cavity formation
- Natural minerals are drawn into the tooth to help stabilize and strengthen the area
- No drilling, needles, or anesthesia are required
The process is quick, comfortable, and completed during a regular dental visit.
Benefits of Curodont (When Used at the Correct Stage)
- No drilling or injections
- Pain-free and conservative
- Helps protect natural tooth structure
- Supports early intervention — before a filling is needed
- Safe for children, teens, and adults
For many patients, Curodont can help delay or avoid fillings — but only when decay is detected very early.
Why Treat Early?
Once decay penetrates the enamel, traditional treatment is needed to remove the cavity and place a filling.
Curodont is intended to help treat:
- early “white spot” lesions
- beginning interproximal decay
- enamel that is weakening — but still intact
Early detection allows for gentler, more conservative care.
Is Curodont Right for You?
Curodont may be a good option if you:
- have beginning decay that has not yet broken through enamel
- have early white-spot areas between the teeth
- prefer conservative, non-invasive care
- live in the Oakwood, Kettering, or Centerville area
Dr. Sato will take X-rays and evaluate your teeth to confirm whether Curodont is appropriate.
